Yunnan 2003 Expedition

Location:

Zhongdian, Yunnan Province, China

Background:

Zhongdian is a promising area that was visited in 2002. It has depth potential in excess of 2000m. Here high limestone plateaus at altitudes up to 4500m above sea level are believed to drain to the Yangtze river at around 2000m altitude.

Objectives:

The expedition will return to the mountain range lying west of the town of Zhongdian.
