Yunnan Resurgences 2004 Expedition

Zhongdian, Yunnan Province, China

Background:

Zhongdian is a promising area that was recced extensively in 2003. It has depth potential in excess of 2000m. There are several resurgences at 1900m above sea level which are believed to drain a high limestone plateau which rises to over 4500m.

Objectives:

Following the work of Yunnan 2003, this expedition will return to Shui Lian Dong resurgence and push upstream, hoping to take advantage of low water conditions in the winter.
