Zhongdian Draughting Holes 2006 Expedition

Zhongdian, Yunnan Province, China

Background:

Zhongdian is a promising area with depth potential in excess of 2000m. There are several resurgences at 1900m above sea level which are believed to drain a high limestone plateau which rises to over 4500m.

Objectives:

This is a ski expedition to search for high altitude entrances during the late winter, when it is hoped that snow cover will reveal draughting holes.
