Bill Miners

Bill started caving in 1989 with the University of Bristol Speleological Society where he wasted most Wednesday evenings digging on Mendip down GB and went on expeditions to Ireland (twice to County Clare ), France (Dordogne, PSM), Austria (Totes Gibirge) and Slovinia (Triglav). He then spent a year in London caving with Imperial College Caving Club. Bill later moved to Cambridge to work for the British Antarctic Survey and joined Cambridge University Caving Club, going on one expedition to Austria with them. Subsequently he has caved in France and Mallorca. Qikeng Dong 2002 was his first expedtion to China, and it was on this trip that he started to experiment with home built LED lights.

Currently Bill lives in London and is a member of Westminster Speleo Group. When not caving, he works as a computer programmer.
